So anyway, the lady asks for 2 volunteers and I don't think there was any way possible that she could not pick Emma. Emma's hand went up just as she asked and I guarantee no other child could match the height or intensity of that hand waving just waiting to be picked. She got her wish! Some other less enthusiastic child was picked as well. She asked Emma where she was from and, after all Emma had to say, she politely turned to the other kid since there was only so much time to do the program. Emma can totally handle both sides of a conversation! She did great and really got into the role of being a fish as the pictures will show....

Emma the "Star" Fish
I was looking through some old pictures and I totally forgot to post about this one trip to the SC Aquarium in July. Each day at the giant tank there is an inter-active program telling us all about the fish in the tank and a fish feeding. We had been many times and they always pick 2 volunteers to help out. Emma had said before the program that she wanted to volunteer. We all know what an introvert she is! Yea, right.

Here is proof that Timothy was with us! He had a great time too!

I told Emma that since we are members of the aquarium and that we go quite often, maybe we should give some other kids a chance to volunteer next time. She was ok with that, thank goodness!
