Softball

Emma is enjoying the start of softball this season. Not much of a change from baseball last Fall, except no boys! An all-girl team has been fun especially since she already knew several of the girls on her team. There are 2 girls on her team that are in her class at school and another girl in 3rd grade at her school. Plus she plays against several girls she knows.

Her coaches are great and they relate to the girls so well. Lots of encouragement and fun!

Emma played catcher for 2 innings and the coach decided she would be better at 3rd base. We agree! If the ball didn't land directly in her glove, she would let the umpire get the ball and throw it back. She played awesome at 3rd base and successfully fielded the ball and tagged 2 runners out. That earned her the game ball. She was thrilled!

Her 1st time at bat I didn't get a picture because she hit the 1st pitch and was off and running! Made it to 3rd base but didn't get to run it home.
